Sonya Mehmood

Sonya Mehmood obtained her Law LLB degree from the University of Leeds and completed her LPC and Master of Law in 2020. She joined Russell & Russell in 2018 as a paralegal and progressed to become a trainee solicitor before qualifying as a solicitor in 2021. Based at the firm’s Bury office, Sonya works in the specialist care department representing parents and local authorities within the Manchester, Rochdale, and Salford area. She brings both legal expertise and an empathetic approach to complex child protection and family proceedings, particularly those involving social services involvement.
