Fariha Akhtar

Fariha Akhtar was admitted as a solicitor on 2 June 2008 and holds a BA (Hons) in Law and IT. She is the principal solicitor and director of Porto Bella Solicitors, where she specialises in all areas of family law, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, child abduction, care proceedings, domestic abuse, and private children matters. Fariha is a family law panel member and conducts much of her own advocacy. She heads the firm’s wills and probate department, managing lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications, and also supervises the conveyancing department. The firm holds a Legal Aid Agency franchise in family law and has been awarded Lexcel accreditation by the Law Society.
