Things to do

If you are contemplating Divorce and you’ve tried everything that you can to reconcile your differences then there’s a few things that you might want to consider doing:

  1. Take some legal advice
  2. Change your will
  3. If you own a house in Joint names with your spouse then you should change it to Tenants in Common

Why do these things?

Legal Advice – it’s always best to know what your rights are and what steps it is necessary to take in order to get Divorced, 10 minutes on the telephone with a Solicitor can give you all the information you need and you’ll be given a quotation for the cost of your Divorce too. click here to access Legal Advice

Change your Will – At present, if you have wills written, then they probably give everything to each other, and as you’re getting a Divorce, you probably don’t want that any more so change your will to reflect your current wishes. Do it now – click here

Tenants in Common – No matter what it says in your will, if you own your house Jointly with your Spouse, then they will inherit your half if you die whilst the house is in Joint names. 1. Divorce Law says:

A divorce is not at all a pleasurable experience for any person. Matters may become worse if the individuals involved in the case are not sufficiently prepared to go through the entire procedure. Most of the time, both the parties are financially and emotionally shattered because of their decisions and are not able to handle the problems in a systematic way. Some couples are so non-cooperative that they try to get back on each other by using law as a weapon. However, the sole purpose of the law is providing balanced support and assistance to both the individuals. Only an experienced divorce attorney can handle these legal complexities effectively.
